NERF

I very recently, mid-2020, got into Nerf blasters, and really any brand of foam-flinging device.
The short version: a friend picked up a rival blaster from target, shared some blaster review videos on discord, infecting all of us with the nerf bug.

First, a quick review of terms, feel free to look back over this list if you get confused

Blaster
they aren't firearms, we try not to call them guns.
Nerf
One of many brands, but gets used as the umbrella term for the sport/community
Dart
the main ammunition used, foam darts with usually rubber, sometimes plastic heads
Rival
a related ammo type by Nerf, a separate line of blasters
Elite
a line of products from Nerf, most notably the Elite darts
Wafflehead
a more accurate standard dart, the heads have an open waffle-like design
Short Darts
Darts that are roughly half the length of Elite darts.
They fly faster and thus farther, and are more accurate.

If I end up putting all of my collection here, it would take up way too much space. So, I'm just going to show you some of my favorites!

This is a list of my top ten favorite blasters at the moment, along with a bit of information about each

#1 and #2, as I can't bear to put one above the other, are my fires
both sling and sharp:

Picture of the Nerf Sharpfire blaster
The sharpfire is a really simple blaster, it's a breach-fed single shot springer pistol. The main reasons I love it so is not just that the tactile experience of racking the slide back is very satisfying, but that it has my favorite 3d printed modification to any of my blasters, and its purely cosmetic to boot.
It also spins incredibly nicely
Spinning the Nerf Sharpfire Around

Picture of the Nerf Slingfire blaster
The slingfire is, in my opinion, the single best looking blaster nerf has ever produced. As you might be able to tell by the themeing of this website, I am a very large fan of green and black as a color scheme, and a yeehaw cowboy lever action truly makes my heart sing

Broken Nerf Slingfire Lever
I love the slingfire so much, that despite the thin metal bar in the core of that plastic lever, I managed to yeehaw a little too hard, and crack one in half.

Flickloading a Nerf Slingfire
The slingfire is one of the few non-motorized blasters that is completely operable with one hand. I have had so much fun just flicking the slingfire around like a silly cowboy.

Spinloading a Nerf Slingfire
That and spinloading it, not quite like in Terminator 2, but close enough.

One of my other favorites is, of all of them, a fortnite crossover product. The sh-6 is a 6 shot revolver hammer primed wonder
Nerf Fortnite 6-SH Blaster
And, I have used my 3d printer to make it into the ultimate weapon
Previous Blaster, with far too many attachments added onto it
The standard barrel add-on to this blaster is frankly awful looking, and adding a standard attachment lug instead allows you to do hilariously silly things like this
